Episode 110: String Theories
Whether it’s the woolly worlds of Yoshi’s latest adventure or the many layers of Nintendo’s new mobile plans and financials, fans have been left with lots to untangle. Luckily, we’re here to help. We first kick off this episode of the Random Nintendo Podcast with an in-depth discussion of Nintendo’s mobile plans, including details on their new membership program and theories of how their debut app, Miitomo, may be a trojan horse for something much bigger. We then jump into Nintendo’s financials, breaking down the good, the bad, and what Nintendo plans to do next for Wii U and 3DS. Episode 90: In With The Old, In With The New
Hi Guys!
Great show as always! Thank you so much for your hard-work and dedication to putting out such a great show every other week! All your effort is really appreciated.
Its nice to see Nintendo’s making money, I just hope they keep putting out enough good stuff that people keep buying it. (Amiibo Festival and Tennis Ultra Smash just don’t cut-it.) I guess I’ve been a bit dis-heartened by all the delays, but I suppose in the end it will all be worth it. Just the waiting game is hard. And I guess more than just the current slate of games, I’m more waiting for next year’s “NX” release. Because, let’s be honest, at the Wii U’s current rate, it can’t sustain another year. Sad a fact as that is.
Anyways, more positively, I enjoyed all your opinions and ideas on Nintendo’s mobile endeavor and while I won’t be playing Miitomo, I’m all for the infastructure changes that come with the DeNA deal. Namely “My Nintendo” and “Nintendo Account.” I’m also really glad I can keep using my current Nintendo Network ID.
Well can’t wait for the next show! Thanks again for all you do!
Thanks, Satoshi! I agree that we seem to be stuck in a holding pattern right now between the various delays, the NX, and even plans for what Nintendo’s doing on mobile after Miitomo. It’s certainly going to make for an interesting 2016.
