Episode 131: Talking ’bout My Generations
It’s time to go monster hunting. In this episode of the Random Nintendo Podcast, we return to the world of Monster Hunter to bring you our impressions of the latest entry in the series, Monster Hunter Generations. Before embarking on that journey, however, there is lots of news to cover! We start things off with an NX roundup, including an examination of how its rumored controls could work and the latest on which third parties are (and aren’t) supporting the system. We then turn our attention to the current state of game announcements themselves, exploring why it is that major expos like Gamescom are no longer major newsmakers. From there, it’s all about Pokemon as we discuss the latest on Sun & Moon and Pokemon Go, as well as dive into the deepest, darkest lore of the franchise. The episode then wraps up with a look at the latest sales numbers, our picks for best Metroid games in honor of the franchise’s 30th anniversary, and yes, those Monster Hunter Generations impressions.
