Episode 68: The Real Deal
A game about buying games. An island where the faces of Miis fly off their heads and into outer space. A fighting game where a ninja frog wears his tongue as a scarf. Yes, Nintendo got weird these past few weeks and we’ve got it all covered in this episode of the Random Nintendo Podcast. We kick off the show with an in-depth discussion of the recent Nintendo Directs for both Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS and the newly announced Tomodachi Life, analyzing the fighter’s big changes and the life sim’s more passive approach to gaming. We then cover a variety of other news, including product placement in Mario Golf: World Tour, third party announcements, and March’s sales numbers. The episode concludes with the pooch pictured above as we share full impressions of Rusty’s Real Deal Baseball, a 3DS free-to-download title that combines baseball with a washed up dog strapped for cash.
