Vidbit: Mario Kart 8

You’ve heard us talk about games, now see us play them. Introducing Vidbits, Random Nintendo’s new video series in which we play games new and old, sharing our opinions along the way. Vidbits are complimentary to the impressions we give in our podcast, allowing us to revisit recent releases and Nintendo classics to provide additional insights and thoughts based on our extended play time. Plus, you get to see just how good (or bad) our gaming skills really are.

For our first Vidbit, we’re diving into the karting mayhem of Mario Kart 8 on Wii U. In the time since we discussed the game in Episode 71, it has become one of the Wii U’s top sellers, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s perfect. We discuss item balancing, character balancing, the fire hopping technique, and the random elements that makes Mario Kart, well, Mario Kart. Enjoy!
