Episode 200: Looking To The Future
There are now as many episodes of the Random Nintendo Podcast as there are microgames in the original WarioWare. And how are we celebrating this fittingly random Nintendo milestone? By discussing the future of gaming, duh! We dive deep into what cloud- and subscription-based services mean for gaming and Nintendo, as well as discuss Nintendo’s own Switch ambitious with reports of multiple new models and their plans for Labo VR. Plus, we share impressions of asymmetric Switch game Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes and speculate about what’s to come in this month’s Smash Bros. 3.0 update.
We also want to get you in on our 200th episode celebration, so we’re hosting a giveaway to win one of two $20 eShop gift cards! Since there are now as many episodes of the show as WarioWare has microgames, we want to know: what’s your favorite WarioWare microgame? Tell us in the comments below, be it a full description or just the one-word command, to enter. We’ll announce the randomly chosen winners in our next episode on April 28, so make sure you don’t miss it by following us on Twitter @RandomNintendo and subscribing to us on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, Google Play Music, YouTube, or your podcasting app of choice.
As always, we’ve included links below for more information on the news and games discussed in this episode. Each link also lists a time stamp to locate the segments that most interest you. Enjoy!

As I don’t own a 3DS, I’ve never played WarioWare. Is this a type of game that could make it to the Switch?
Congrats on making it to 200! I would definitely say the most rememberable micro game would be in WarioWare:Smooth Moves where you actually let go of the Wii remote! I played with my family and sometimes didn’t have time to put the strap on when passing the remote! Lol made for some great family time!
I think my favorite is the one on GBA where Wario is showing his fat belly, and you strain to pull his shirt down. XD
Fries With That? is my favorite WairoWare microgame. I must have played this nonstop as a kid . It was really simple as most of the games, but I really liked squirting ketchup on the hamburgers and fries. They added in soft drinks in the hardest level so ya had to not squirt those. I think I mostly liked it because hamburgers are one of my favorite things ever.
Congrats on 200 eps , I hope you have many more !
Cyclone Kick from W.W. Twisted. Good old times.
Gold digger! Aka picking nose
Congrats on 200 episodes! Havent played much WarioWare but for the little I have I’d say my favorite microgame is Driver’s Ed.
Congrats on 200 episodes! I don’t know what Warioware is, but I do have a 3DS that needs games.
I like the Warioware Touched! game where you spin the toilet paper off the roll.
Pyoro in the original Wario Ware
The retro game sections were always my favorite .Hard to pick just one of them. Maybe the SMB part in WarioWare Twisted?
Definitely Gold Digger is the best.
I liked the Super Wario Bros microgame.
Definitely Gold Digger!
Congrats on the 200 episodes, here’s to 200 more!
congrats on 200!
I’ll be honest,I’ve….never played a warioware game :'(
BUT! I have played a ps1 game like it called Bishi Bashi special
Definitely one of the boss stages from WarioWare Twisted, the Super Mario Bros one! I was so surprised they coded basically an entire level from the original SMB in a game that already had a great deal of variety. Congrats on 200 you guys!
I really like shootng arrows in the Wii U version. That version is highly underrated.
What a great milestone. I would say Cyclone Kick! Pretty fun and unique use of the GBA
Congrats for the 200th episode! The only Wario Game I’ve played is Game and Wario and I loved to play “Gamer” because it had some fun microgames and it was intense to not be seen by your mom.
Thanks for entering, everyone! We’ve announced our winner in Episode 201, which also features impressions of Labo VR and more. Check it out here: http://randomnintendo.com/2019/04/28/episode-201-virtual-boys/
