Episode 216: Big Diglett Energy
We’re taking this episode of the Random Nintendo Podcast to the Dynamax. We visit the Galar region to bring you our impressions of Pokemon Sword and Shield, plus discuss how fan demands are affecting gaming as a whole. We also weigh in on Sonic’s new movie design, Mario Kart Tour’s new control options, Animal Crossing’s new paid subscriptions, and Shigeru Miyamoto’s new Disney-esque ambitions.
This episode also marks the show’s eighth anniversary and as a thank you for your continued support, we’re giving away eight prizes over the next month! It all starts here with a set of prizes that are as random as they are Nintendo: three copies of Switch racing sim Truck Racing Championship, one of which is signed by the three of us and includes a bonus $20 eShop gift card! Because really, what more could you want than a signed copy of a game we spent six minutes talking about two months ago?
To enter, simply leave a comment below. We’ll random choose three winners next episode, plus announce our next game giveaway. To make sure you don’t miss it, subscribe to us on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, Google Play Music, YouTube, or your favorite podcast app. Be sure to also follow us on Twitter @RandomNintendo, where we’ll be hosting two $30 eShop gift card giveaways in the coming weeks.

Pretty sure you won’t want to send a physical copy to New Zealand, but love the podcast! Great work guys, 8 more years! Thank heaps!
Jason and his titles lol
Just got my first Switch 🙂
I think fan deamands are justifiable when they accomplish something. IE, if fans have a problem with Mass Effect 3’s ending. Complaining they don’t like loot boxes to buy, not so much. You can complain, but not demand. Let your wallet’s make the formal complaint. The problem is it’s a balance, and where justifable in one case, it might not be in a similar case.
When those Nintendo Ninjas find who leaked sword and shield stuff it is not going to be pretty lol
Getting Pokemon Sword for christmas.
That big diglett energy! I dont get all the hate for Pokemon sword and shield.Sure something could’ve been alot better, but its still a fun and amazing game.
Congratulations!
Congrats guys!
Congrats and there’s so much going on with Nintendo right now! Happy holidays!
I’ve personally had a great time with Shield. My first foray into Pokemon (outside of Go and Let’s Go) since Yellow!
Thanks for entering, everyone! Check back tomorrow for our winner announcement in Episode 217.
