Episode 252: Rise To The Occasion
For a game with a word as good as “rise” in its name, we sure had a hard time coming up with a punny show title. Yet ultimately we, like the games we’re covering in this episode of the Random Nintendo Podcast, did rise to the occasion. Our episode’s namesake, Monster Hunter Rise, rose to meet expectations. Squad-based dodgeballer Knockout City rose to stand out in a sea of multiplayer games with its beta weekend. And surprise release Pac-Man 99 quickly rose to the top of the battle royale heap. We share our impressions of all three and how they did it, plus discuss how the summer news cycle is taking shape with the returns of E3 and Summer Game Fest.
