Episode 49: The Adventures of Comic-Con 2013
Some people go to Comic-Con for the comics. Others go for the movie and television news. Us? We go for the video games. It’s impressions galore in this episode of the Random Nintendo Podcast as we go hands-on with the many Wii U and 3DS games that were on display, including The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, Yoshi’s New Island, Bayonetta 2, Sonic Lost World, and Disney Infinity. And that’s just the beginning! We then dive into the latest news from both Comic-Con and beyond, covering the latest Nintendo Direct Mini, Activision’s renewed commitment to the Wii U, and the recent 3DS sales surge. Super Mario world, Mario kart, and super smash bros. All will live up to the hype
I’m most excited about A Link Between Worlds. I think Nintendo’s making a smart decision to move beloved old-school game mechanics into the new generation. Controls will be tight, graphics will be crisp and vibrant, and this game will be the catalyst to bringing Nintendo’s finest work yet to life on their current generation of consoles. Pay attention folks, it looks like Nintendo is finally listening to those of us raised on 16 bits of PLAYING IT LOUD! (Have you downloaded earthbound yet?)
I’m looking forward to Yoshi on the 3ds because of all the fond memories back on the gameboy 🙂 plus who could say no to a little cute dino?
hmmmm Dream Team looks interesting, i loved how bowsers inside story was so i have my hopes up!
How can I choose just one?! It’s a tie among Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, Zelda Windwaker HD, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Super Mario 3D World, Smash Bros 4, Bayonetta 2, X, Mario Kart 8, Mario & Luigi Dream Team, and Zelda Link Between Worlds. There you have it 🙂
Oh, and how could I forget- Sonic Lost World, Rayman Legends, Batman Arkham Origins and Deus Ex Human Revolution Director’s Cut are also among my most anticipated titles.
Looking forward to Zelda Link Between Worlds for the 3DS
And I never played through Windwaker, so of course im super excited for that.
Also hoping for a new Kirby game for the 3DS
Cannot wait for Smash Bros and very glad to finally get EarthBound. I am most excited about Pikmin 3 and Mario Kart
I’m looking forward to Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101 the most! Platinum is known for their insane gameplay! They have always done an amazing job with their games and these will be no exception. Another reason I’m looking forward to these is because I’m interested to see how platinum would do a star fox game. Studying these two games would provide a good look to the hopeful future of star fox!
Oh man I’m so pumped for Pikmin 3. After getting my Wii U for Christmas last year and seeing Nintendo characters in HD, I thought of Olimar and his crew of Pikmin looking clean and polished. Also it looks like they’ve added a lot of little things like being able to hit enemies in certain spots and being able to throw other captains. So that’ll be cool. Overall I’m just really hyped for this game.
Looking forward to everything angrybirds related on nintendo consoles
Our family is most excited for Pikmin 3, my son especially!
I’m especially excited for the new Smash Bros. games. I plan on getting both at launch, and I’m even going to sell my current 3DS to see if I can get myself a 3DS XL bundle that comes with the game.
Im so excited for Pokemon and A Link Between Worlds!
i want that shirt
I’m really excited for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD. Ever since Nintendo announced they were planning on releasing an HD version The Wind Waker back in January I’ve been excited for this game, and now that it looks like it’s going to have harder difficulty level I just can’t wait. This has to be my most anticipated game of the year, and why wouldn’t it be, The Wind Waker is my favorite game of all time.
Thanks for entering, everyone! We’ll announce the winner in Episode 50, which goes live tomorrow.
