Hi Jason and Angel!
Thank you so much for another great podcast! I actually got to listen to the is one on time. I really wanted to hear your thoughts before Nintendo’s E3, I mean Zelda presentation tomorrow. Now, I am a HUGE Zelda fan, I just am still a little sad that NIntendo doesn’t have more to show. Although, after being admittedly underwhelmed by both Microsoft and Sony today, I really excited and hope Nintendo shows something, first off bright and colorful, but also truly exciting. I REALLY want this to the be the Zelda game we’ve been waiting for. Not to sound too cliché, but the the new, first Legend of Zelda or Ocarina of Time. That level of impact. It would really put NIntendo not just on the map for this year’s E3, but would bode well for the launch of the NX in March.
The other thing I’m really hoping for is maybe a hint of when the NX specific press-conference/event is. As of now I imagine its either as early as September, around the time of the Tokyo Game Show or maybe as late as November. Of course, I’d love for Nintendo to reveal it next week, but I doubt that will happen.
I really enjoyed your impressions of Planet Robobot by the way. While I haven’t played it personally yet, I got it for my 6-year old and he absolutely loves it. Hasn’t put it down yet. And I think he beat it last night. Oh and thank you for the break down about Pokemon Go too. I haven’t been reading up on it because I still have a few issues with Nintendo properties on mobile devices, but that comes from the fact that I prefer actual games and game hardware. Anyways, really enjoyed learning about the game, thank you. The other thing I learned was that Yooka-Laylee is being developed in-house for Wii U. Makes me think that the Wii U and PC version’s will more than likely be the best version’s of the game.
Well thank you again for a great show! I’m REALLY looking forward to hearing all about your time with the new Zelda game and NIntendo’s giant Zelda specific booth! Can’t wait for the next show!
–Oh and I haven’t gotten a chance to listen the previous episode yet, but I plan to this week. Thanks again.
The E3 frenzy distracted me from responding to you sooner, but thanks as always, Satoshi! I feel like Nintendo did what you wanted with Zelda, but I’m curious to hear if the game’s reveal did in fact live up to your expectations.
In the off chance you haven’t seen it yet, our E3 episode is now up too: http://randomnintendo.com/2016/06/26/episode-127-the-e3-2016-megamix/
