I heard Resident Evil Mercenaries was at Comic Con, what are the controls like on the 3DS XL?

  • Danny wrote on July 18, 2012 at 5:29 am:

So did you prefer the new control style on the Wii U?

  • Blane wrote on July 19, 2012 at 10:13 pm:

Did they change any of the controls on the XL? How does it feel compared to the Wii U?

  • Stephen wrote on July 20, 2012 at 12:58 pm:

What previous handheld Nintendo console would you most compare the 3DS XL to?

  • Saket wrote on July 20, 2012 at 12:59 pm:

Why don’t they make the controller like the gamecube? it’s the best type

  • Sebastian wrote on July 20, 2012 at 1:01 pm:

Did the bigger screen size of the XL impact the gameplay? Do the games look better with the bigger screen?

  • Twitch wrote on July 20, 2012 at 3:30 pm:

Is the Wii U comfortable to play? Is it possible to use two of them on one Wii for the ultimate enteractive game play? Is the 3D XL the same size as a netbook? Jst wondering:b

How good do games look on the 3DSXL screen? I absolutley hated how games looked on the DSiXL. And how well would you say it fits in your pocket?

hearing your podcast, it sounds like the 3DSXL really is worth it, but that kind of sucks for all the people that already own a normal 3DS, especially the ambassadors since they paid full price. The ones who really benefit from this are obviously the ppl who have yet to own one, but essentially everyone who ever wanted a 3ds now has one by now. It just sucks that Something as cool as the XL comes out during a time where anyone who would want one has to buy the 3DS one more time.

As always, GREAT PODCAST!! Very cool stories from Comic-Con, it sounds like it was tons of fun. I’ve been waiting for the next iteration of the 3DS and the 3DSXL sounds like it delivers. Thanks another great podcast!

What do you think of Wii U’s success in the long run (considering how 360 and PS3 still have some life left, and the PS4 and 720 might be coming soon)? Will it still be recognized once Sony and Microsoft’s next-gen consoles arrive on market?

Do you think the game pad will have any participation in relatively competitive games such as Super Smash Bros?

  • Shiva64 wrote on July 23, 2012 at 1:46 pm:

How well do you think the new Super Smash Bros. will perform with the Crossplay ability between WiiU and 3DS (and I guess how well do you think the 3DS’s circle pad will work with the game)?

Also, question unrelated to this, what do you think the high points and low points were from this year’s Comic Con? I haven’t been able to keep track of it a lot this time around, so I most likely missed out on some things… :/

Are you disappointed that the 3DSxl doesn’t have 2 analog sticks? Why or why not?
