Episode 50: Go Forth, My Pikmin
It’s been nine years since Pikmin last sprouted up on a Nintendo system and a whopping nineteen years since Earthbound graced the Super NES. But now, thanks to Wii U, they’re both back and we’ve got them covered! In this episode of the Random Nintendo Podcast, we share our full impressions of Pikmin 3, weighing the game’s pros and cons, as well as the Virtual Console version of Earthbound. We first kick off the show with a breakdown of the latest Nintendo Direct and The Wonderful 101 Direct, including impressions of the new Animal Crossing Plaza and the eShop demo of The Wonderful 101. Additionally, we take a look at some major changes in store for Pokemon X & Y and a new Monster Hunter for Wii U, followed by an examination of Nintendo’s Q1 2013 financial report and what it all means. Plus, we announce the winner of our Pikmin 3 shirt giveaway!

This episode also marks a milestone for the Random Nintendo Podcast: 50 episodes! In the time since the show first started, we’ve experienced the rise of the 3DS, the ongoing ups and downs of the Wii U, and a slew of really great games.
