Whatever the answer, it’s now +1 as we celebrate the Random Nintendo Podcast’s ninth anniversary with impressions and a giveaway of the new Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros. system. We also tackle a debate as old as our podcast’s time with a long overdue revisit of Star Fox 64 to see if it still holds up or if it’s just the nostalgia talking. 1. Mario 64 was the first game I 100-percented! I spent a summer with my brother and cousin getting all the stars and seeing Yoshi (for 10 seconds). That’ll always be my favorite Mario memory… even though replaying Mario 64 on Switch hasn’t been as magical as I remember it!

  2. The first time I played Super Mario 64 at a demo kiosk a few weeks before the N64 was released. Seeing Mario running around in 3D was so cool.

  3. I remember the first time i got a nintendo for christmas as a small kid. The feeling of running through those levels is something i’ll always remember and cherish!

  4. Exploring the blocky world of Super Mario 64 that wasn’t strangely blocky before playing Super Mario 64 DS.

  5. My favorite Mario memory is when I first brought and played Super Mario Bros 3. For the very first time I played I was amazed such a gods memory.

  6. My fav Mario memory has to be when I first played Super Mario 64 when I was a kid. I was so happy and excited because it was a truly unique experience because you could travel around different worlds inside the castle. It was my first time I experienced a 3D game too so I was amazed.

  7. I remember playing Super Mario World on a small CRT in my older brothers’ bedroom as he owned the console/game. It was a sense of wonder playing through, I definitely felt like I was given a gift of permission to play something that before then was known as what my older siblings played. Remains my favorite Mario platformer to date. Appreciate you all setting up this giveaway!

  8. My favorite Mario memory is from a snow day we had back when I was a kid. The snow was very deep, so even the adults couldn’t get to work. Most of the neighborhood eventually ended up at the corner bar. Drunk people loved to give kids quarters for video games, so I played Donkey Kong for hours that day.

  9. Getting game over in super mario world for the first time. Most people would probably be frustrated, but the game over sound was amazing.

  10. My favorite Mario memory is probably playing paper Mario with my friend growing up. Just how we worked together to best the game is something ill always remember.
