Episode 73: A Smashing E3 2014

E3 2014 was a smashing success. Literally. In our second episode dedicated to all things E3, we go hands-on with Super Smash Bros. on both Wii U and 3DS to bring you in-depth impressions of Smash Run, the fighting mechanics, and more. We then turn our attention to the biggest news from the show floor. You’ve already heard our thoughts on the Wii U’s lineup and Nintendo’s Digital Event in Episode 72, so in this episode, we focus on the 3DS lineup, including the likes of surprise strategy game Codename: S.T.E.A.M. and anticipated remakes Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. As if that wasn’t enough, we then share our thoughts on fresh Star Fox for Wii U details, discuss Nintendo’s unusual stance on live game streaming, and round up major third-party and indie game news – all before concluding with an assessment of Nintendo’s E3 performance as a whole. It adds up to a huge episode you don’t want to miss!

In fact, you shouldn’t miss any of our E3 2014 coverage. Whether you’d like to hear our full analysis of the Wii U’s E3 presence in Episode 72, go Inside the Smash Bros. Invitational, or revisit the pre-show hype of our E3 2014 Photo Safari, we’ve got you covered. And this is just the start of a summer jam-packed with great Nintendo content.
